Starting up you are shown a nice little loading screen. The application itself although alpha is pretty top notch and everything played super smoothly. When first starting up it might take a little while but after that your good to go and you’re introduced to one of the best console MP3 players ever. At the moment along with MP3’s the following formats are also accepted flac, it, mod, mp1, mp2/mpa, ogg, s3m, wav and xm. File can also be read from both the Front Wii SD or from a USB device (I tested using a micro SD card with USB adapter and it worked perfectly).
Additional features that make this Application really stick out
• Choice between Rand and sequential play.
- with the touch of the Up button u can play song files in order or randomly
• Wii Slot Light Glows
- In the options menu (press home button) you can choose “Wii light flash”. What this does is have the Wii Slot Light glow to the beat of the music. A pointless feature but it’s really cool.
Requirements
• Songs (What point is a music player without songs eh?)
• Way to Load the application, Twilight Princess Chainloader, Homebrew channel.
• SD card or FAT formatted USB device (need a place to hold all those tunes)
Controls
- The only control option is the Wii Remote (This is a Wii so you shouldn’t have a problem finding one of those)
• A button = Select/Confirm
• B button = Drag around screen to scroll through the files and folders
• - button = Go up a file directory
• L D-pad = Previous Song
• R D-pad = Next Song
• U D-pad = Choose between Random and Sequential play
• 1 button = Play/Pause
• 2 button = Stop
• Home = Menu
The only concern is that every once in a while the program might crash occasionally while changing themes and I thought that could be helped if you don’t play a song while changing themes but it seems it is completely random.
Overall, if you’re looking for an MP3 player or any other formats supported you should definitely check this one out.
